16th July. Spanish gathering at culture club.

Dear Friend of la Sociedad Hispanica,

Thank you to everyone who turned up to last night’s Get Together (25/06). Because of uncertainty associated with the weather only 14 people attended, but we had a good time, spoke a lot of Spanish, and enjoyed the free snacks provided by Lennon.

Please try to make the next gathering on Wednesday, July 16, in CultureClub, 15 Elgin Street, Soho District, Central. It will give you a good opportunity to have a chat in Spanish. If you are nearer the Beginner than the Advanced satage, you will find everyone is very friendly and supportive. I hope there will also be a talk on an interesting topic.

Saludos,

Chris Stubbs

6July. Spanish gathering at Epoch Caffe.

Dear all:

Our monthly “Spanish gathering”( regularly the last Saturday of the month) will be this time 6 of July at Epoch: 12-14 Wing Fung Street, Star Precinct. Wanchai, Hong Kong.

From 8.00pm onwards. Remember this is just a casual friends talk with native speakers in a relax environment, and the most important of this monthly venue is have fun and practice Spanish.

June 25th. Spanish gathering at Culture Club.

Dear Friend of the Society,

A reminder that the next Get Together will take place in CultureClub (map attached) this coming Wednesday, June 25, from 7.15 onwards. During a part of the evening Tony, from Mexico, will give a talk on the Mayan Culture. Since Tony lives across the border he will need to start his talk at 8.10 at the latest, hence early attendance would be appreciated.

I hope as many of you as possible can make it. The Get Togethers provide an excellent opportunity to practise your conversational Spanish. In addition, there will be some free snacks and drinks available at Happy Hour prices (after the first).

See you there,

Chris Stubbs

24th June. Spanish gathering at Culture Club.

Date for your Diary - 24 June.

Dear Friend of the Society,

The Get Together yesterday, June 4, attracted 17 people. This was less than our usual number and Tony kindly agreed to postpone his talk on Mayan Culture until the next meeting. This will take place on Wednesday, June 24, starting at 7.15.

Thank you to all those who attended. I think everyone had a good opportunity to converse in Spanish and some people stayed to quite late, enjoying the social aspect of the evening. Thanks go also to Lennon for providing the comfortable venue.

I hope as many of you as possible will come to CultureClub on the 24th in order to converse in the beautiful language of Spanish. The more the merrier!

Saludos,

Chris Stubbs
