Spanish gathering at culture club. 30th January

Dear Friend of the Society,

The Get Together on the 2nd Jan. had 17 attendees, a lower number than usual mainly due to people being out of town on vacation. Those present learnt more about The Dominican Republic from Natasha, my lovely daughter, who gave a very illuminating, interactive talk on the country. It was very good of her to step in at the last minute as Tony, who was going to talk about Mexican Christmas celebrations, was unable to make it. Natasha, who is on holiday from DR, was really impressed by the fact that everyone was conversing so actively in Spanish.

Normally we would hold our next gathering on the 23rd, but CultureClub won't be available, hence we will have it in the 30th. Anyone interested in communicating in Spanish is very welcome to attend. Marcela, from Colombia, has indicated that she is willing to give a talk on the country - don't miss it! There is no need to register, just turn up as close as you can to 7.15 on the 30th at CultureClub, 15 Elgin Street, Soho (map attached). You will also receive free snacks, courtesy of Lennon, the owner, as well as drinks available at Happy Hour prices after the first.

Don't miss this wonderful opportunity to practise and improve your Spanish. If you are a native speaker then please attend. We very much value your support and help.

Saludos,

Chris Stubbs
