15th April. Spanish gathering at Culture Club

Dear Friends of the Society,

A reminder that our next Get Together at CultureClub (www.cultureclub.com.hk), 15 Elgin Street, Soho (map attached) will take place this coming Wednesday, the 15th, from 7 p.m. onwards (early attendance appreciated).

We have been very fortunate of late to have had large turnouts, so let's try to keep the momentum going. The evenings provide a wonderful opportunity to practise Spanish in a friendly and relaxing environment. Some regulars are away on holiday, so it is hoped that you will make a special effort to attend. One of our very welcome native speakers, Alejandro from Mexico, has promised to give a talk, but he is still deciding on the topic, so it should be a pleasant surprise for all of us. Participants from Mexico, Spain, Colombia, Venezuela, and other countries where Spanish is the native language, have continually supported our efforts to improve in the language and we are extremely grateful to them.

Lennon, the owner of CultureClub, after his holiday in Taiwan, will be raring to see us again. We are looking forward to his "tentempies" (I think I got that right, but am ready to stand corrected), as well as drinks at Happy Hour prices (after the first).

There may also be a birthday cake arriving on the scene!

Que tengan un Feliz Semana Santa,

Chris Stubbs

Member of the Society.
